Spring/summer 2011 Nail trends!

Everyone that's just as obsessed with following the latest nail polish trends as Sarah and I both are needs to check out this feature from NY Mag:

http://nymag.com/shopamatic/products/nailssp11/

It has a very well organized and easy to view list of over 100 nail colors that they recommend for this spring/summer season, along with price and where to buy.

I'd love to incorporate any of these into my outfits:

Although I would love to wear heels all the time its just not practical in a city like DC. I walk pretty much everywhere so I am always looking for comfortable flats that I can wear to work and school.  I found these multicolor sparkly flats yesterday at Gap for $7, and I thought they were fun, so I based this look around them! Please 'like my look' by clicking the button below the pic.

Currently craving...

The snow and ice have barely started to melt in new york and while it has been getting gradually warmer lately, i know we haven't seen the last of the winter weather. Still, i can't help but look forward to the day that i'll finally be shedding my bulky parka and rain/snow boots in favor of high waisted shorts and cute wedges! So here are a few items i'll definitely be lusting after and hopefully adding to my closet this spring.

- High waisted shorts:

Urban Outfitters BDG high waisted shorts
MinkPink cutoff shorts

- Crop tops in bright colors:

Topshop knot stripe crop top

-Edgy sandals and wedges:

Zara wide-heeled satin sandal
Asos Randal buckle wedge

- A classic trench coat (because I do live in new york after all...):

Zara double raincoat

I know im not smiling in this picture, but of my many attempts to photograph my outfit this morning, these were the best pics I could come up with. So, today it was amazingly warm outside and I was super excited to wear my new Mossimo wedges! They are the Target version of the Dolce Vita Pela wedges, so similar in fact that I returned the pair of Pelas I had just purchased, and ran to Target to buy these in both black and brown. I wore them with navy Zara pants, an HM top, and minimal jewelry. My pink nail polish is a nod to Valentines day. Happy Valentines day!!! You can see the shoes better in this last picture.

Spring Inspiration: Wide Leg Pants and Bright Colors

It's only February, but Spring fashions are already in stores and I cant help but think about how much fun shopping will be this Spring and Summer. Specifically, I love the wide leg pants, and bright pops of color-- so chic! And the long, clean lines seem to make everyone taller and thinner.
